NEPALI SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Rakshya & Gloria Adhikari
Rakshya is 11 years old and is entering the 6 the grade, which in Ohio is Middle School. Gloria just turned 8 years old and is entering the 3rd grade. They also have a 3-year-old sister. Both of their parents came to the United States from Nepal as refugees from Bhutan. Their father is currently unemployed and the family relies exclusively on governmental help.
These two girls were recently baptized as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were so happy to be able to receive clothing and school supplies with the help of The Zion Project as they begin this school year.

Eric Magar (Left)
Eric (left) is 11 years old and is just entering 6 th grade. His father and mother were both Nepali refugees forced out of their home country of Bhutan and survived in a refugee camp in Nepal before coming to the United States.
His father died 3 years ago leaving himself and 3 older siblings to be watched over by an uneducated mother who knows little English and subsists on government assistance. He was elated to receive help from The Zion Project to obtain needed school supplies.

CONGOLESE WINTER PREP
The Badera Family
This is a photo of Louise, Pasca, Samueli, Bievune, Clemence, and Ishara Badera. They came to the United States in the Fall of 2023 with only a few clothes in their suitcases. They found themselves living in an apartment in Akron, Ohio with no furniture—they had very little support when they arrived.
The Zion Project became aware of them through missionary efforts and the family was quickly given new winter clothing. The Badera family said they had prayed that someone would come to their aid. They are grateful to have received it.

UNIVERSITY STUDENT SUPPLY
Students from Kathmandu, Nepal
Early in the Spring 2024 Semester at the University of Akron 8 students arrived from Kathmandu, Nepal. They applied for student visa and were enrolled in the University of Akron. When they arrived, they moved into student apartments— however, all the apartments were unfurnished and without kitchen supplies.
The Zion Project became aware of them through missionary means and outfitted the two apartments. We hope they are able to study hard and find the accomplishment they seek in the United States!
